Avril Lavigne is a Canadian punk rock and pop singer who rose to fame in the early 2000s with hits like “Sk8tr Boi”. In 2000, she signed with Arista Records. Two years later, in 2002, she released her debut album, Let Go alongside her record label. The album featured tracks like “Complicated”, which went on to become a number one hit, and “Sk8er Boi,”. The album sold more than 15 million copies worldwide. Lavigne then released albums like Under My Skin in 2004, The Best Damn Thing in 2007, Goodbye Lullaby in 2011 and Avril Lavigne in 2013. Her single “Girlfriend” from The Best Damn Thing became a Top Ten hit, and her album Goodbye Lullaby has enormous success in countries like Australia and Korea.
