About Babyface
Ten-time Grammy winner Babyface was born Kenneth Edmonds on April 10, 1959, in Indianapolis, Indiana. After his father passed away when he was a young teen, Babyface was driven to be successful in music, and joined a few groups as a singer in the 1970s and 1980s. In 1986, Babyface released his debut album entitled Lovers, which went to #28 on the Soul Album Charts, and was later re-released by Epic Records. He then became the co-founder of LaFace Records as his career repertoire expanded to song writer and producer. Together with co-founder Antonio Reid, LaFace Records took on TLC, Toni Braxton, and Usher onto their label. Babyface later had the opportunity to work with notable artists such as Boyz II Men, Whitney Houston, Aretha Franklin, Diana Ross, Michael Jackson, and countless others. Between 1989 and 2007, he would release eight more albums.
