Craig David is a R&B and pop artists from Britain. David was born to a Grenadian Carpenter and a Jewish mother in 1981. They lived in Southampton, England. When David was 14 he got on stage in front of microphone at the West Indian Social Club, where is dad belonged, improvising music on the fly, he began rapping and MCing. Soon after that he became a celebrity in his area. He worked as a disc jockey in Southampton, England on a pirate radio station in the nineties. He was studying to become an engineer when he met Mark Hill with the band Artful Dodger. He played in the studio with with Hill, appearing on one of the Artful Dodger tracks. This led David to the contract with WellStar records, who produced his first album. He made his debut with the album Born To Do It which achieved Platinum Status in the UK. The Born To Do It record was released in the United States and made top 20 on the charts. It was released in 2000 in the UK in 2001 in the United States. His debut record  won six Brit Awards.
