About Rick Springfield
Born in August 23, 1949, Richard Lewis Springthorpe or publicly known as Rick Springfield, came from Guildford, New South Wales, Australia. As a child, Rick found it hard to make friends in which he sought comfort in books and music. In high school, he joined the ‘50s revival group Rock House. Then he joined Zoot in 1968.
Zoot became a popular group in Australia. Later, Springfield decided to go solo and became successful in the US with the re-recording of “Speak to the Sky,” reaching the 14th spot in the charts. However, the following albums didn’t become significant which made him take acting classes. Under Universal Studios, he started appearing on television programs. In 1981, he played Dr. Noah Drake in “General Hospital.”
